The Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network CIC connects the various agencies involved in tackling modern day slavery in Cheshire and beyond.

Our objectives:

Develop an effective multi-agency anti-slavery network to:

  • Identify, rescue and support victims of trafficking and modern slavery
  • raise awareness
  • reduce the threat and harm of slavery

Develop strategic partnerships and collaborations with other regional, national and international organisations to tackle Modern Day Slavery, including networks, partnerships, agencies and learning establishments.

Who We Are

The Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network is currently made up of the following Partner Agencies:

Our History

How the Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network was developed:

In 2014 Susan Taylor in partnership with Christian Concern, Crewe, received funding from Cheshire East Council to host a Pan Cheshire Conference on Modern Day Slavery.  The Conference was attended by statutory and non-statutory agencies from across the Cheshire footprint.  During the  preparation for this conference it became clear that next steps and best practice necessitated the establishment of an Anti-Slavery Network for Cheshire.

In January 2015, Susan established Spotlight on Slavery CIC and in collaboration with Robin Brierley and with the support of Cheshire Police, the Network was established.  Spotlight on Slavery received funding from the Police & Crime Commissioner to underpin the Network and subsequently  changed its name to the Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network Community Interest Company.  View details of Board Members here.

Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network currently has a number of statutory agencies on board but is actively seeking to connect with the business sector,  charities and community groups who may come into contact with victims of trafficking in the course of their work.
